Competitive Intellignce is usually done (if at all) by a specailist team or outside consultants - who will analyse your business, customers and competitors. Some of these services are excellent, but one could often get the feeling that you've just been told what you already knew. CI works most effectively if its engaged with your salespeople, reacting swiftly to changes and providing rapid redirection where needed. However, for most companies CI is nothing more than an infrequent analysis, usually delivered to Marketing or the Board and having only a diluted affect on sales activity. Smart-Competitor changes all that. We have created a CI system that is a living and breathing activity thoroughly integrated into your sales process. We believe that you already know much of your competitive information, but have nowhere to put it - it resides in the heads of your sales, marketing, support and other staff (and yes in the minds of external consulants you have engaged). Smart-Competitor allows all of these groups to access and contribute to your competitive knowledge. You then use this information to create successful sales strategies and tactics. (So far this is just like some other processes). But what really makes Smart-Competitor different is that your sales strategies are not fixed, everyone can comment upon then, offer ways to improve them, or tell you why they just won't work any more. AND your sales staff can pose new questions and issues, and engage with the experts, all the while increasing your knowledge base in a co-ordinated managed way.
